Upper level high school girls toured HPCAT on April 14, 2011 as part of the Science Careers in Search of Women Conference at Argonne National Laboratory. HPCAT was highlighted with a tour and presentations. Beamline scientist Yue Meng gave a presentation on the effects of high pressure along with extreme temperatures (high and low) and a tour of the IDB beamline hutch. Visiting scientist Olga Shebanova, who was conducting an experiment at Sector 16BM-D, spoke to the girls about her work as they viewed the equipment inside the BMD hutch.
