Steven Jacobsen, a CDAC Academic Partner from Northwestern University, has received a Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award for 2014.  The Bessel Award is granted by the Alexander von Humbolt Foundation, and allows the recipient to spend a year working at a research institution in Germany.  Professor Jacobsen will spend the coming year at the Bayeriches Geoinstitut in Bayreuth, Germany, where he was a Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow from 2002-2004.
