The 6th Fundamental Science with Pulsed Power: Research Opportunities and User Meeting will, pending approval, be held Sunday July 19 (evening) through July 22 (all day). The Research Opportunities component of the workshop will this year focus on providing an opportunity for current and prospective future collaborators to discuss and prepare responses to the Call for Proposals (see above). Presentations by Sandia scientists will provide relevant information concerning facility capabilities, including experimental platforms, targets, and diagnostics. The User meeting component is for collaborative users to a) hear about the Z accelerator facility status and plans, and b) present the status of their research.
Current collaborative research areas are Astrophysics, Planetary Science, Materials Science, and Magnetized High Energy Density (HED) Science that is relevant to Magnetized Inertial Fusion (MagLIF).
